Here is a great 3 week travel itinerary from Brisbane.

Week-1: Brisbane, Gold Coast, Fraser Island

Head down to Moreton Bay; it is a short drive from Brisbane city and a gateway to the gold coast. However, before you drive ahead, you can make a halt to enjoy an array of excursions such as sea-kayaking, windsurfing, boating, and jet-skiing at one of its spectacular beaches.

Then drive your four wheels north on the Pacific coastline’s touring route. If ahead of time, you may stop by at Noosa to soak up its luxury and discover the nature’s gems. And don’t forget to watch whales from Hervey Bay. 

The last destination of the first week of this travel itinerary is Fraser Island; it is the largest sand island of the world. This UNESCO rewarded World Heritage site is home to magnificent rainforest area, picturesque lakes and colourful cliffs. 

Week -2: Whitsundays, Cairns, Great Barrier Reef

Though you can directly board a flight to Cairns from Brisbane, driving this route with a motorhome rental is a unique once-in-a-life-time kind of experience. The scenic Pacific Gold Coast Touring Route will take you drive past Airlie Beach, which is a gateway to your dream sailing tour through the palmy islands of the Whitsundays.

Enjoy bushwalking tours on charming Molle Island and walk the heavenly beautiful white sandy beaches of Whitehaven Beach on Whitsunday Island. If you want to go far off from the touristy crowds, head down to Magnetic Island near Townsville and from there move ahead to visit the largest island national park of the country – Hinchinbrook.

As you enter in Cairns, you may spend some time getting around the city and then depart for a jaw-dropping journey to the Great Barrier Reef. Here you can learn adventure water sports such as scuba diving and snorkelling. 

From Cairns, you can also visit the famous Daintree Rainforest site in the north or the Barron River in Barron Gorge National Park in the south.

Week- 3: Brisbane to Sydney

Drive your van through Byron Bay on the Pacific Coast Touring Route. Once you arrive in Sydney, it is needless to say what is famous for. Visit the internationally acclaimed Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. For void of tourist crowd, enjoy bushwalking in the Blue Mountains and spend a night near a serene tiny mountain village. 

North off the Sydney is home to some beautiful beaches which are perfect for surfing. You may stop by Hunter Valley’s 120 wineries and take in all the nature has on offer there. Swimming with dolphins in Port Stephens, camping in the Royal National or snorkelling in Jervis Bay are a few of the activities that will fill your campervan rentals in Brisbane with lots of fun, happiness and delights.
