What to See and Do on Your Campervan Adventure in Perth

  • Kings Park and Botanic Gardens - Perched high on Mount Eliza you will find Kings Park and Botanic Gardens. With more than 400 hectares of natural bush land and sculpted gardens this is the perfect spot to spend the afternoon and take in the views across Perth’s city skyline and Swan River. Park your hired campervan rental and stop by the Visitor Information Centre to learn more about the local flora and fauna, indigenous culture and European history. You can also enjoy a self-guided walk through the treetops.

  • Bell Tower - The bells were given to the people of Western Australia as part of the national Bicentennial celebrations in 1988. Located at Barrack Square, the Bell Tower is just a five minute walk from the city. The Bell Tower includes the twelve bells of St Martin-in-the-Fields and you will find demonstrations of the ancient art of bell ringing and you can also try your hand in the art of bell ringing. After visiting the interpretive displays go to the open air observation deck and you find another vantage point to take in the views of Perth’s skyline and Swan River through your cozy hired campervan. With the twinkling lights, it's a real sight to behold

  • Rockingham - Penguin Island is only 45 minutes south of Perth (with a short ferry ride across to the Marine Park). This is a popular tourist spot with beautiful beaches wherein the little penguins (the smallest species in the world) remain the start attraction. Enjoy the daily penguin feeding shows or take a glass bottom boat cruise to see the sea lions. It offers a wide range of marine life such as wild bottlenose dolphins, rare Australian sea lions and pelican rookeries etc. Aussie Campervans can provide you with a comfortable journey by offering the best campervan.

  • Northbridge and the Art Gallery of Western Australia - The suburb of Northbridge is right next to the city and is the cultural heart of Perth. You will find the Art Gallery of Western Australia located within walking distance in James Street together with the Perth Cultural Centre and the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts. If you are here with your campervan rental over the weekend visit the Galleria Art and Craft Market which is held at the Cultural Centre Mall. There are many restaurants and cafes just west of the Cultural Centre.

  • Perth Zoo in South Perth is set in a lovely garden. We suggest you take a ferry trip to the zoo from Barracks Street Jetty across the Swan River. You will find the Butterfly House which is superb and there are many native Australian animals at the zoo.

Drive your campervan rental south towards Margaret River and you will find more than 60 wineries in the region. This place is famous for its premium wine and gourmet food industry coupled with many restaurants and cafes. As a starting point – try wine tasting at the Margaret River Regional Wine Centre or at one of the many wineries.
